Salary: A competitive salary commensurate with education and experience: .5 FTE Salary starts at: $23, 109/Full time starts at $46, 218 
Work Calendar: 163 days

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position may be full time or half-time depending on the applicant's interest.

The South Routt and Hayden School Districts seek a half-time Career and Technical Education Facilitator to split time between South Routt and Hayden for the 2024-25 school year to aid in the work through the S3 Collaborative. The position will include facilitating CTE opportunities in the respective districts, as well as across the S3 region. Additionally, this position will facilitate pathway collaboration between the K-12 partners and regional higher education campuses. Qualified candidates should have experience with CTE in the K-12 realm or through higher ed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The S3 Career and Technical Education Facilitator will aid in executing the specific district’s strategic plan, specifically in Career and Technical Education, internship opportunities, and connecting students with regional post-secondary opportunities in both workforce and higher education.

The Career and Technical Education Facilitator will align their work with the Strategic Plan for YVPS3.

The S3 CTE Facilitator will collaborate with other CTE facilitators associated with S3 in the other S3 districts. Meetings including these positions will occur monthly throughout the 2024-25 school year. 

The S3 Career and Technical Education Facilitator will work with the respective district to develop internships and job shadowing opportunities for interested students. The facilitator will work with existing staff, capitalizing on systems already in place to expand possible student opportunities. 

Additionally, the facilitator will work with regional higher ed. entities to develop pathway opportunities for students to link and continue their K-12 learning at the post-secondary level. 

Performs such other duties within the scope of the position as requested by the supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of: Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the State of Colorado; Child growth and development, and developmental behavior characteristics; Student behavior management strategies and techniques;
Ability to: Demonstrate an understanding, patient, and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups; Communicate effectively in oral and written form with students and adults; Perform routine clerical tasks and operate a variety of educational and office-related machines and equipment; Learn to utilize a variety of appropriate materials and procedures in the enhancement post-secondary learning; Understand and carry out oral and written directions; Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children and adults.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
This position requires that the applicant have experience in K-12 education and the transition of students to post-secondary learning. 

The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or have the commensurate work experience to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency needed to navigate K-16 education. 

KNOWLEDGE OF:
English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Modern office procedures and methods.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel, as well as the Google platform.
Record keeping, time management and reporting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 5 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. 
•This type of work involves sitting most of the time but may involve moving quickly and being stationary for brief periods. 
•Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far visual acuity, depth perception providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handling and working with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
