About Stratton School District
Located on the Eastern Plains of Colorado, Stratton School District is a tight-knit community rooted in farming and ranching. Just two hours from Denver, our town has a population of around 600 and is committed to both academic and athletic excellence. We serve 218 students from K-12, with a dedicated staff, many of whom are former students, reflecting a deep commitment to our district’s future.

Position Overview
We are seeking an innovative, community-oriented leader to serve as our next Superintendent. The ideal candidate will build on the district’s tradition of excellence while driving growth and ensuring every student has access to high-quality education and opportunities for success.

Required Qualifications:
-Colorado Superintendent License (or ability to obtain by July 2025)
-K-12 educational leadership experience
-Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and student achievement
-Financial management expertise
-Experience in rural communities and building community relationships
-Advocacy for extracurricular activities

Preferred Qualifications:
-Support for English Language Learners (ELL) and diverse student needs
-Facility and infrastructure management experience
-Grant acquisition experience
