Yuma School District-1 is accepting applications for the position of Principal at Yuma Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year. The start date will be August 1, 2025.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Master's degree with a Colorado Principal License. The ideal candidate will have successful teaching and administrative experience with strong leadership abilities, knowledge of middle school standards and curriculum, ability to direct and maintain a safe and effective educational environment, ability to build trust and relationships with all stakeholders, demonstrated ability to maintain positive and productive relations with parents and the community, and effective management of the school budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as principal for approximately 225 students 5th through 8th grades.
Lead all aspects of operating the middle school, including instructional leadership, personnel, resource management, and establishing a positive school culture and climate.
