Monte Vista School District is accepting applications for an anticipated position for a Middle School 6th Grade Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
• Current Colorado Teaching License (with Elementary or Math endorsement or the willingness to pursue a math endorsement)
• Knowledge of best practices in mathematics instruction
• Experience teaching students of varying abilities
• Collaborative approach to lesson design and problem-solving
• Ability to work well with others
• Self-motivated
• Knowledge of Middle School mathematics curriculum is preferred
• Organized, yet flexible
• Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Justice, and Capturing Kids’ Hearts
Monte Vista School District operates on a 4-day week (Monday – Thursday) and offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package including employee health, dental, vision, HSA match, and life coverage. The salary for this position will be paid from the current MVSD Teacher Salary Schedule, which can be viewed on the district website – Financial Transparency page. Placement on the salary schedule will be determined by education and experience at the time of hire.
