Art Teacher- Longfellow Elementary School 2025-2026

The art teacher will work as a team member under the direction of the school principal for grades K-4 and will provide an introduction to the elements of art through different media. The teacher will expose students to various techniques and the proper use of art tools and supplies. This position requires developing and implementing daily lesson plans based on Colorado state standards. The teacher will observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, and social development. The teacher will also instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs. The position requires planning and conducting activities for a balanced program of instruction for student’s diverse backgrounds and abilities. This position requires a high degree of collaborative communication and leadership. It also requires substantial organizational and time management skills. The teacher must be able to work collaboratively with fellow teachers. The teacher is expected to participate in district development of curriculum and instruction.
