8th Grade Math Teacher- Salida Middle School- School Year 2024-2025

Work collaboratively under the direction of the school principal as part of a four-person 8th grade team. This position requires planning and collaboration with both the math department and grade level team to develop and implement daily lesson plans based on Colorado state standards and math lessons using CMP materials. The teacher will also instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs. The position includes a class of 8th grade Algebra that will count for high school math credit. The teacher will observe and evaluate children’s performance, behavior, and social emotional development. The position requires explicit planning and conducting activities for a balanced program of instruction for students’ diverse backgrounds and abilities. It also requires substantial organizational and time management skills. All teachers are expected to participate in district development of curriculum and instruction.
