CLASSIFIED SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN

Job Description:

Objective:

To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.

Position Summary:

Responsible for general cleanliness and sanitary conditions of schools and other facilities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Effective communication

• Ability to operate hand and power custodial and cleaning equipment including snow blower, riding mower, and push mower

• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and co-workers

• Capable of lifting 100 lbs. maximum, up to 50 lbs. frequently

• Capable of working on stepladders and scaffolding

• Capable of bending, squatting, standing, walking frequently

• Capable of reaching, sitting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and stooping occasionally

• Ability to engage in periodic repetitive motion
