Newcomer Teacher and Integration Specialist

Job Description: Duties and responsibilities will be prioritized but may include:
● Continue to develop and teach the district “Newcomers English” program for 9-12th grades at 
Gunnison High School. This job includes teaching multiple periods per day at Gunnison High School.

● Assists students in the development of basic school skills necessary for success in a classroom. 
Assess and observe students in order to determine the appropriate strategies and approaches to be 
utilized to make instruction most effective for Newcomer students. Work with teachers to
scaffold and differentiate instruction to promote equitable educational access.
