POSITION: English/Language Arts- Deer Trail Middle School.

SALARY RANGE: Licensed Staff Salary Schedule Plus School District Comprehensive Benefits Package. Salary starts at $48,500, depending on experience and education, with additional opportunities for compensation via coaching, tutoring, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Minimum B.A. in Secondary English Education
Hold or be able to obtain a Colorado Teacher's Certificate/License from the Colorado Department of Education in Secondary English Education
Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments.
Ability to facilitate content and data-driven instruction in a standards-based classroom.
Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience for high school students
Ability to foster relationships with students across the grade levels via English Language Arts
Strong background in integrating the teaching of reading and writing.
Computer and Technology skills preferred.
Able to work as a team member/experience (grade level or department level teams).
Experience working with diverse populations. Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English is desirable.
Coaching available.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Assignment starting date is August 2025.
