Mathematics Teacher (.5 FTE)

Position: Math Teacher .5 FTE- Horizons Exploratory Academy

Job Description: This position requires developing and implementing daily lesson plans based on Colorado state standards. The teacher will observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, and social development. The teacher will also instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs. The position requires planning and conducting activities for a balanced program of instruction for students’ diverse backgrounds and abilities. In addition the teacher may have opportunities to participate in or lead field trips with students and other members of the community. This position requires a high degree of collaborative communication and leadership. It also requires substantial organizational and time management skills. A high level of autonomy is expected with equal amounts of self-management. Salary is based on a 156 day work calendar at .5 FTE, scheduled with supervisor. Please Note: .5 FTE you will receive half-time benefits.
