Position Overview
Brush High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Agricultural Science Teacher to inspire the next generation of agricultural professionals. This high school position requires developing and delivering comprehensive instruction in agricultural science, while preparing students for careers in the agriculture industry through classroom teaching, hands-on experiences, and leadership development.

Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree or higher in Agricultural Education, Agricultural Science, or related field
● Current teaching license/certification or ability to obtain appropriate high school teaching licensure
● CTE certification in one or more of the following pathways:

○ Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources:
■ Agribusiness Systems
■ Animal Science
■ Environmental Service Systems
■ Natural Resources
■ Plant Science
■ Power, Structural, and Technical Systems

○ Architecture and Construction:
■ Construction
■ Design and Pre-Construction
■ Maintenance and Operations
● Experience in agricultural industry and/or construction field preferred
● Strong communication and leadership skills
● Ability to manage a high school educational program including classroom, laboratory, field, and project-based learning

Primary Responsibilities
● Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state standards and CTE requirements for high school students across selected pathways
● Create engaging learning experiences through classroom instruction, laboratory activities, and field experiences appropriate for high school learners
● Maintain agricultural and/or construction facilities, equipment, greenhouse, and/or school farm at Brush High School
● Collaborate with local agricultural and construction businesses and community partners to develop work-based learning opportunities for high school students
● Stay current with agricultural science and construction advancements and teaching methodologies
● Participate in professional development to maintain and enhance teaching credentials
● Fulfill all other duties required of Brush High School faculty

Specific Pathway Knowledge Areas Depending on certification area(s), the teacher will provide instruction to high school students in:

Agriculture Pathways:
● Agribusiness: Agricultural economics, farm management, marketing, and entrepreneurship
● Animal Science: Animal nutrition, reproduction, health, and management practices
● Environmental Service Systems: Environmental regulations, resource management, and sustainability
● Natural Resources: Wildlife management, forestry, soil and water conservation
● Plant Science: Crop production, horticulture, plant physiology, and pest management
● Power, Structural and Technical Systems: Agricultural mechanics, equipment operation and maintenance, construction

Architecture and Construction Pathways:
● Construction: Building techniques, materials, tools, safety protocols, and project management
● Design and Pre-Construction: Architectural drafting, blueprint reading, CAD, and design principles
● Maintenance and Operations: Building systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility management
