Work as a team member under the direction of the school principal. The district is looking for a Science teacher to work at Salida Middle School as a team member under the direction of the school principal. This position requires developing and implementing daily lesson plans based on Colorado state standards. The teacher will observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, and social development. The teacher will also instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students varying needs. The position requires planning and conducting activities for a balanced program of instruction for student’s diverse backgrounds and abilities. This position requires a high degree of collaborative communication and leadership. It also requires substantial organizational and time management skills. The teacher must be able to work collaboratively with fellow teachers. The teacher is expected to participate in district development of curriculum and instruction. Salary is based on a 156-day work calendar, scheduled with a supervisor.
